How to register your own Infor OAuth app

Register an OAuth app in Infor OS and connect it to Tenklo

This guide shows you how to register your own app in Infor OS to obtain your OAuth credentials (Client ID & Client Secret). These are required to let your users grant your app access to their Infor tenant through the ION API gateway.

Open Authorized Apps

Log in to your Infor OS Portal as a user with the ION API Administrator role, open API Gateway, then select Authorized Apps.

Add a new authorized app

Click Add (the + icon). Enter a Name and Description for the app, then set Type to Web.

Add the redirect URI

Set Redirect URL to https://api.tenklo.dev/oauth/callback for Tenklo Cloud, then save the app.

Download your credentials

Open the authorized app you just created and click Download Credentials. This downloads a .ionapi file containing your app's OAuth credentials as JSON.

API gotchas

  • The downloaded .ionapi file's ci and cs fields are your Client ID and Client Secret. Its ti, pu, and iu fields are the Tenant, Authorization Server URL, and ION API Gateway URL Tenklo needs — see the connect guide for where to enter them.
  • Infor OS may require an administrator to also grant the app one or more scopes if your tenant has scope enforcement turned on. If your connection fails with a permissions error after authorizing, check with your Infor OS administrator.
