Neon (MCP)
Connect AI tools to Neon via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to manage projects, branches, schemas, and databases
🚀 Quickstart
Connect to the Neon MCP server with Tenklo and call MCP tools in minutes. Neon MCP uses OAuth 2.0 with dynamic client registration, so no app registration is required.
In Tenklo (free signup), open Integrations, select Configure New Integration, and choose Neon (MCP).
Open Connections, select Add Test Connection, and authorize access to your Neon account. Neon asks whether to grant read and write access. Later, you'll let your users authorize directly from your app.
Make your first MCP request with the initialize handshake. Replace the placeholders below with your Tenklo Environment API key, integration ID, and connection ID:
curl "https://api.tenklo.dev/proxy/mcp" \
-X POST \
-H "Authorization: Bearer <NANGO-ENVIRONMENT-API-KEY>" \
-H "Provider-Config-Key: <INTEGRATION-ID>" \
-H "Connection-Id: <CONNECTION-ID>" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"jsonrpc": "2.0",
"id": 1,
"method": "initialize",
"params": {
"protocolVersion": "2024-11-05",
"capabilities": {},
"clientInfo": {
"name": "nango-client",
"version": "1.0.0"
}
}
}'✅ You're connected! Open Logs in Tenklo to inspect requests.
Follow the Auth implementation guide to integrate Tenklo in your app.
📚 Neon (MCP) guides
Tenklo uses dynamic client registration with Neon's MCP OAuth server. You do not need to register an MCP application.
