Moneybird

Connect to the Moneybird API with OAuth 2.0

Quickstart

Connect to Moneybird with Tenklo and see data flow in 2 minutes.

Create the integration

In Tenklo, go to Integrations, select Configure New Integration, then select Moneybird. Enter the Client ID and Client Secret from your Moneybird OAuth application.

If you do not specify scopes, Moneybird grants sales_invoices by default.

Authorize Moneybird

Go to Connections, select Add Test Connection, then authorize access in Moneybird. Moneybird redirects back to Tenklo and Tenklo stores the access and refresh tokens for the connection.

Call the Moneybird API

Let's make your first request to the Moneybird API by listing the administrations available to the connected user. Replace the placeholders with your Environment API key, integration ID, and connection ID:

curl "https://api.tenklo.dev/proxy/v2/administrations.json" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer <NANGO-API-KEY>" \
  -H "Provider-Config-Key: <INTEGRATION-ID>" \
  -H "Connection-Id: <CONNECTION-ID>"

Tenklo adds the Moneybird Bearer token to the upstream request, so your application does not need to handle the Moneybird access token. Check the Logs tab in Tenklo to inspect the request.

Implement Tenklo in your app

Follow the Auth implementation guide to add the authorization flow to your application.

To obtain your own production credentials, follow the setup guide linked below.

OAuth scopes

Moneybird supports sales_invoices, documents, estimates, bank, time_entries, and settings. If no scope is supplied, Moneybird grants sales_invoices by default.

Accessing contacts requires at least one of sales_invoices, documents, estimates, bank, or settings. The time_entries scope alone does not grant contact access.
