How to register your own Trustpilot OAuth app

This guide shows you how to register your own app with Trustpilot to obtain your OAuth credentials (API Key & API Secret). These are required to let your users grant your app access to their Trustpilot Business account data.

Create a Trustpilot Business account

You need a Trustpilot Business account with access to the API module to use the Trustpilot API. If your account doesn't have API access yet, request access from Trustpilot.

Create an application

Log in to your Trustpilot Business account.
Go to Integrations -> Developers -> APIs.
Under Your Applications, select Create Application.
Give the application a name, and add the Tenklo callback domain to the redirect URI field:

https://api.tenklo.dev/oauth/callback

Confirm creation, then note the API Key (this is your Client ID) and API Secret (this is your Client Secret).

Follow the Quickstart to connect your first account.

If you're building a listed Trustpilot Partner Integration rather than a standard OAuth app, share your redirect URLs with your Trustpilot Partner Manager so they can be added to the OAuth 2.0 allowlist.

Need to authenticate without a user login (e.g. for a backend job)? Use the Trustpilot (Client Credentials) integration instead — it only requires the API Key and API Secret, no redirect URI setup.
