How to register your own Pushpay ChMS v2 OAuth app
Register as a Pushpay ChMS partner and obtain OAuth credentials for Tenklo
This guide shows you how to obtain Client ID and Client secret credentials for the Pushpay ChMS (Church Community Builder) v2 OAuth API.
Pushpay ChMS v2 uses OAuth 2.0 System Auth. A Master Administrator (or a user who can edit system-wide settings) authorizes your vendor application for a church. You must become a value-added partner before you can create an OAuth application.
Apply as a value-added partner
- Open the partner application form.
- Submit the form and wait for Church Community Builder / Pushpay to provision an OAuth application for your integration.
- When your application is created, note the Client ID, Client secret, and the scopes approved for your app.
Ask Pushpay / Church Community Builder to register the Tenklo callback URL on your OAuth application:
https://api.tenklo.dev/oauth/callback
Request only the scopes your product needs (for example read:individuals, read:groups, write:individuals). Scopes must be a subset of what was approved when your OAuth application was created. If you omit scopes during authorization, Pushpay defaults to the full set approved for your app.
In your Tenklo integration settings for Pushpay ChMS (v2), paste the Client ID, Client secret, and the scopes you need.
Follow the Quickstart to create a test connection.
