How to register your own MYOB OAuth app
Register an OAuth app with MYOB and connect it to Tenklo
This guide shows you how to register your own app with MYOB to obtain your OAuth credentials (API key & secret). These are required to let your users grant your app access to their MYOB company file.
Go to my.myob and register for a developer account. Approval from MYOB is required before you can register an app.
- Once approved, sign in to my.myob and select your developer account from the account dropdown.
- Open the Developer tab and register a new app.
- Give your app a name and, for Redirect URI, add
https://api.tenklo.dev/oauth/callback.The redirect URI must usehttps://— MYOB rejectshttp://redirect URIs.
Copy the API Key and Secret shown for your app — you will need these when configuring the integration in Tenklo.
Choose the granular data scopes your app needs. Legacy scopes such as CompanyFile are deprecated and no longer supported.
Start building your integration
Follow the Quickstart guide to build your integration.
The MYOB user authorizing the connection must be an Administrator of the company file. During authorization, they select a single company file to connect — its GUID (businessId) is returned to Tenklo automatically and stored on the connection. To connect additional company files, repeat the authorization flow for each one.
