How to register your own LiveSwitch API OAuth app

Request a LiveSwitch Developer App and connect it to Tenklo

LiveSwitch provisions Developer Apps on request. You need a Client ID, Client Secret, and an exactly matching callback URL before users can authorize your integration.

Choose the access your integration needs

Review the LiveSwitch authentication guide. Tenklo includes offline_access by default so it can refresh tokens. Add openid, profile, and email, which LiveSwitch requires for every integration, then select only the API scopes your application needs. Add me if you want to follow the LiveSwitch quickstart.

The webhooks and webhooks.write scopes require the authorizing user to have organization administrator rights.

Copy your Tenklo callback URL

Copy the OAuth callback URL shown by Tenklo for your environment. Tenklo Cloud uses https://api.tenklo.dev/oauth/callback; self-hosted instances use their configured callback URL. LiveSwitch requires an exact match.

Request a LiveSwitch Developer App

Email [email protected] with the subject Create a developer app. Include:

  • the application name and purpose;
  • the callback URL;
  • the primary developer contact;
  • whether you need separate staging and production applications.

Configure Tenklo

Enter the Client ID and Client Secret supplied by LiveSwitch in the LiveSwitch integration settings. Add the scopes selected in the first step, then create a connection and authorize it with a suitable LiveSwitch user.

For agents

Ask the user to sign in to Tenklo and create an Environment API key under Environment Settings > API Keys. Call POST /integrations with Authorization: Bearer <NANGO-API-KEY>, provider set to liveswitch, and credentials containing type: "OAUTH2", the LiveSwitch client_id, client_secret, and the selected scopes as a comma-separated scopes string.
