How to register your own HighQ OAuth app
Register an OAuth app with HighQ and connect it to Tenklo
This guide shows you how to register your own app with HighQ (Collaborate) to obtain your OAuth credentials (Client ID & Secret key). These are required to let your users grant your app access to their HighQ account.
HighQ Collaborate is self-hosted per customer, so app registration is done by a system administrator inside your own Collaborate instance, not a shared developer portal. OAuth credentials are also scoped to that one instance — if your organization runs more than one Collaborate instance, you'll need to register a separate app (and set up a separate Tenklo integration) for each.
Open API application registration
Log in to your Collaborate instance as a system administrator, open System administration, then select API application registration.
The API is enabled by default but can be disabled per instance. If you don't see API application registration in system administration, email [email protected] to have it enabled for your instance.
Click Add application.
Fill in the application details
- Name — identifies this integration for your admins (required)
- Redirect URL — the callback URL the OAuth code is sent to. Use
https://api.tenklo.dev/oauth/callbackfor Tenklo Cloud - Leave Token expiration time, Status, and Show allow/deny screen at their defaults unless you have a specific reason to change them
Save the application. HighQ generates and displays the Client ID and Secret key for this app — copy both. If you ever need a new secret, use Generate key on this same page.
Once you have your Client ID and Secret key, see the how do I link my account? guide to find your hostname, then follow the quickstart to connect in Tenklo.
