How to register your own HiBob (OAuth) app

Register an OAuth app with HiBob and connect it to Tenklo

OAuth 2.0 app integrations are available only for approved HiBob Marketplace and technology partners building apps that connect multiple customer tenants to Bob. For a single customer's own integration, use HiBob (Service User) instead — it doesn't require partner approval.

This guide shows you how to register your own app with HiBob to obtain your OAuth credentials (client ID & secret). These are required to let your customers install your app from the Bob Marketplace and grant it access to their HiBob account.

Get approved as a HiBob partner

Apply for the HiBob Marketplace partner program. HiBob will review your application before granting you access to the Developer Portal.

Map the scopes and webhooks your app needs

Identify the minimum set of permissions (scopes) your app requires, and the webhook events (if any) it needs to subscribe to.

Create your app in the Developer Portal

In the HiBob Developer Portal, create a new app and provide:

  • Your installation mode: select Install from your landing page (set on Basic information, in the Installing your app section)
  • Your list of required scopes
  • Your redirect URI: https://api.tenklo.dev/oauth/callback
  • A Landing page URL (HTTPS)

HiBob will provide you with a client ID, client secret, and an App installation URL for testing.

Configure the integration in Tenklo

In Tenklo, go to Integrations -> Configure New Integration -> HiBob (OAuth), and enter the client ID and client secret you received.
